The 2nd annual US Renal Care’s Caring for Kidneys 5k Run/Walk is an inspiring community fundraiser that calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation. Over 26 million people have chronic kidney disease, and most are not aware of it because symptoms may not appear until the kidneys are actually failing. Millions of people with kidney damage remain unaware and are not taking steps to protect the health of their kidneys.

The proceeds from this race will benefit the National Kidney Foundation. Awards will be given to the overall top 3 male and female runners and walkers as well as for the top 3 male and female runners in each age group/division. The race will start at US Renal Care’s dialysis clinic in Paragould. US Renal Care opened this clinic in 2001 and now has over 200 clinics in the United States. The clinic is located at 901 West Kingshighway which is across the street from the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. The race will start at 8:00.
