Description Acts as the Preceptor/trainer and mentor for new technical staff. Under supervision is responsible for the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of all water systems, medical equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems in assigned facilities within Centralized Technical Program so as to ensure patient safety as well as staff operating equipment. Performs all repair and maintenance activities according to company and department standard operating procedures and in compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements. Functions as an equipment "trouble-shooter" to identify and ensure resolution of problems. Practices cost containment strategies with regard to equipment maintenance and repair. Requirements High school/Vocational diploma or G.E.D. Technician training or AA Degree in electronics or Biomedical, or At least 2 years of directly related biomedical technical work experience in lieu of the Associates degree. National Technical Certification Required At least 1 year experience working in a technical (industry/medical) setting. Successful completion of the FMCNA Training Program for Technical Staff Successful completion of FMCNA Technical Validation Program within 12 months from date of new position if new hire. Demonstrated leadership and training abilities. Attend all technical training programs required by state/federal regulations and FMCNA policy. Newly hired or promoted incumbents are responsible for the requirements of the respiratory fit policy if applicable. Valid Driver`s License and ability to cover at other facilities and transport equipment and supplies as needed. Employees have to meet the necessary requirements of Ishihara`s Color Blindness test as a condition of employment. Ability to work a flexible schedule. BENEFITS: |
