Unit Secretary Job Responsibilities The Unit Secretary provides clerical, communication, and administrative support to the Care Center. Answers the phone; delivers messages; and greets patients and vendors. Prepares and maintains numerous reports and records to include: checking for completeness and timeliness of patient's medical records; periodic chart audits; participates in care center QA/CQI process; review monthly dialysis summary; collect necessary information on all incoming patients and patient information changes; initiate 2728 or 2749 and send completed report to correct government agency. Ensures charges are complete and accepted on a daily basis. Maintains inventory and office supplies; establishes and maintains all logs and files and ensures appropriate levels of supplies are on hand as needed and that inventory is used in a timely fashion. Ensure doctor rounding book is up to date. Prints monthly lab reports for nurses and doctor and other reports as needed; responsible for transient paperwork. Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of one year experience in a related administrative position preferably in a healthcare setting; computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; telephone and keyboard skills required; must be able to communicate the English language verbally and in writing For more information on our company or to apply online, please visit our website: www.renaladvantage.com.
