Under the guide and supervision of the R&D Manager, coordinate all efforts for major design projects from concept through release. Key contributor to the generation of ideas and potential inventions to be used in new products. Provide design solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary problems.Design and develop products that meet approved design inputs, support business and market strategies, and generate revenue growth.Develop and establish detailed engineering specifications to ensure product function and cost effective manufacturing; including 3D CAD Models, Detail Drawings, Specifications, Inspection and Test Methods, Manufacturing procedures, Sterilization procedures, and Materials Management documents. Write test protocols and provide test data to demonstrate feasibility of product function. Write engineering reports. Develop custom equipment to support small scale product assembly and testing. Develop and give presentations dealing with projects, proposals, designs and project status updates. Coordinate secondary projects and support sub tasks of other projects. Execute projects with clear objectives and timely deliverables. Understand the goals and contents of research projec Requirements - Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree and 3+ years experience, or - Master of Science (M.S.) degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years experience, or - Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a engineering and 8+ years experience, or - Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a related technological field and 12+ years experience, or - Associates (A.A.) degree in a related technological field and 18+ years experience, or - 22+ years related experience Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution and other statistical techniques, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. must be proficient in the use of SolidWorks, Word Processing software, Spread sheet software, Project Management software, and should have knowledge of; Design simulation software; Internet software. Familiarity with Experimental Design (DOE), and conducting and interpreting gage R&R studies. |
