The individual in this role supports the Hemodialysis Administrator or Head Nurse Manager of the Hemodialyisis Department by assuming the responsibilities of designing, implementation and evaluation of orientation and other educational programs; fosters education and professional development of the Hemodialysis staff including licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel; facilitates the change process that supports quality and patient safety. The Assistant Head Nurse may serve as the alternate Head Nurse Manager in providing clinical oversight of the Hemodialysis staff by proving direction, delegating appropriate task and monitoring compliance of Hospital, State, Territory and Federal guidelines. |
