DSI Renal has an immediate opening for a part time (8 hrs. week) Registered Dietitian to cover our dialysis facility in Memphis, TN.
Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients with chronic kidney disease. Based upon nutritional assessment and renal standards of practice, the Registered Dietitian develops a nutrition care plan; evaluates and documents through written records; educates the patients and/or significant other; and provides on-going care for dialysis patients. Instructs on appropriate renal diet in accordance with physician’s orders and clinical assessment results. • Selects or develops education materials and methods appropriate for individual patient. • Reviews chemistries with dialysis patients/appropriate care giver per HIPAA guidelines; documents any problems; and through education relates diet, medication, and dialysis to the chemistries. • Provides assessment, education, consultation, and documentation on an on-going basis to patients, family, significant others and care centers to optimize patient’s nutritional status. Functions as a continuous liaison with members of the health care team regarding the nutritional care of patients. • Participates in physician rounds and/or patient care conferences.
Responsible for ensuring consistently high standard of nutritional care for dialysis patients and attention to related laboratory indexes. Requirements Must be a Registered Dietitian with a current license and previous clinical experience. Dialysis experience preferred. |
