Ensure provision of quality patient care on a daily basis and supervise the direct patient care staff. In this position you will maintain overall shift operation in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, conduct staff meetings at least monthly or as needed to keep patient care staff informed of changes in patient needs or operations to improve delivery of care. Meet routinely with the Director of Nursing Services to discuss personnel and patient care status, issues, and information. Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments appropriately. Perform written staff evaluations in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. Recommend and initiate disciplinary action in conjunction with the DON Services. Act as a resource person for staff members. |
